The placement of a dental implant is carried out in several steps
Consultation and planning
During the first consultation, the dentist/implantologist will examine the patient’s mouth and take X-rays to assess suitability for an implant. A treatment plan will be developed, taking into account factors such as the health of the jawbone and the location of the missing tooth.
Placement of the implant
Under local anesthesia, the dentist makes a small incision in the gum to expose the jawbone. A hole is then drilled into the bone where the implant will be placed. After placing the implant, the gum is stitched, and the healing process begins.
